Facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly killed another man nearly two years ago, a Warrensburg man is due in court.

A felony complaint alleges Wayne Lewis Hill Jr. knowingly caused the death of Joseph Campbell by shooting him- and there were a 3-year-old child and an infant in the room- on or about March 7, 2020. More than four dozen witnesses have been identified in the complaint.

Court documents say Hill is charged with felonies for second-degree murder, armed criminal action, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hill waived his preliminary hearing, and the case was bound over to the trial division on February 14. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 28, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
