
Sheryl Lynne Riesterer, age 67, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Friday, February 18, 2022, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blackburn.

Born August 4, 1954, in Waverly, MO, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. Hemme and Betty Jean Schumacher Hemme. She was raised in Waverly, MO and was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and cosmetology school. On November 2, 1990, she married David A. Riesterer who preceded her in death on July 14, 2002. She lived in Sweet Springs most of her life and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs. She was a beautician, worked at various care centers, worked at Betty’s Truck Stop and in the deli at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and being with family at various gatherings.
Survivors include two siblings, Michael G. Hemme (Judy) of rural Alma, MO and Patricia D. Cowherd of Carrollton, MO; long-time companion, Harold Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sheryl was preceded in death by one sister, Karen K. Engelbrecht; and one nephew, Brad Hemme.
