The average high temperature climbed slightly in the month of February from the month of January at the KMMO Studio in Marshall.

According to numbers provided by the National Weather Service, the average high temperature bumped up from 37.5 degrees in January to 41.9 degrees in February. The high of 66 degrees was recorded on February 17.

However, the average low temperature stayed the same at well below freezing at 15.9 degrees. The low of 2 degrees was registered on February 18.

Precipitation more than doubled from January’s total of 45-hundredths of an inch to 1.02 inches in February. The most precipitation- 74-hundredths of an inch- was recorded on February 2. Measurable precipitation was recorded on only three of the 28 days.
