
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office received information from area authorities about a stolen tractor-trailer unit from Chariton County at approximately 7 p.m. Monday, February 28.
According to a news release, Chariton County Sheriff’s Office provided information about the tractor-trailer, including color, business name and license plate information.
A Saline County deputy arrived at the scene at approximately 7:05 p.m., and observed a tractor-trailer unit matching all the information provided by Chariton County and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of College Street and U.S. Highway 65.
The deputy requested immediate assistance from the Marshall Police Department and officers were dispatched to assist with the incident.
Authorities say once the scene was secured and other deputies arrived, Marshall Police departed – leaving Saline County deputies to conduct their investigation.
