A 29-year-old Carrollton man facing felony charges after he allegedly broke out a window in a vehicle, and the glass cut one child and landed on another during a dispute with a woman on June 15, 2021, is due in court.
According to a Carrollton Police report, a woman reported Joshua Ray Fizer broke out the driver’s-side rear window in her vehicle, and glass went all over the back seat of the vehicle, where two children were seated. One of the children suffered numerous small cuts; and glass was thrown on the other, but that child was not injured. After Fizer broke out the window, the woman said he crawled in through the window and tried to get one child out of the vehicle. However, once he learned the police had been notified, he fled and was unable to be located at that time.
According to court documents, Fizer is charged with two counts of a felony for endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor for property damage. Fizer posted surety bond on November 4.
Fizer pleaded not guilty on October 12. His next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Carroll County Circuit Court.
