The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra is tuning up for its fourth performance of its 59th Concert Season with a Chamber Recital scheduled to be held this weekend.
According to a news release, the recital is scheduled to be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 710 East Yerby Street.
Saturday’s recital gives a nod to that time when live performance was truly personal. Members of the orchestra and their musical colleagues are scheduled to present an evening of solos and ensembles designed specifically for the small stage.
The evening will feature two brass ensembles, in addition to Mary Lou Porter on flute; Derek Wittman on organ; Cheryl Lines on piano; and the string duet of Fr. Ryan Koster and Zeb Yoko. Pam Riggs will serve as accompanist.
All MPO events are free and open to the public.
