During the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 1, Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri gave a State of the City address.

In his open letter to citizens, Mayor Allegri highlighted some key challenges the City has had to navigate through, as well as accomplishments.

Mayor Allegri says the city continues to make aggressive progress on infrastructure projects.

In other news from the meeting, a visitor asked the council to clarify the Slater Special Road District disagreement from the perspective of farmers and agriculture workers who rely on small roads.

Mayor Allegri said his request for residents to vote “NO” is not an attack on farmers.

After further clarification, the council adjourned to executive session.
