It was a busy day for the Pettis County Fire Department on Wednesday, March 2.

No. 1-1 Personnel worked rollover accident on Route B early in the morning.
No. 2- Responded to a natural cover fire on 32nd Street.
No. 3- Worked a 160-acre natural cover fire on Younger Road.
No. 4- Worked a natural cover fire on Green Road.
No. 5- Responded to work a structure fire in Southgate.
No. 6- Responded to a vehicle fire on U.S. Highway 65.
No. 7- Personnel were called to work an illegal burn east of Sedalia.

Harding says, “On the calls listed, we had four of them at the same time. I would like to thank all of the men and women on Pettis County Fire. Since these firefighters are volunteer, many of them were allowed to leave work by their employers to help our community. I would like to thank them for that. We also had several surrounding agencies that responded (to provide) mutual aid. These included Sedalia Fire, Blackwater Fire, Hughesville Fire, Smithton Fire, Cole Camp Fire, PCAD, Pettis County Joint Communications and Pettis County Sheriff’s Department. I appreciate all of your help. This is a perfect example of agencies helping agencies.”
