
Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity to install, own, acquire, operate and maintain a water and sewer system in the Monsees Lake Estates Subdivision in Pettis County.
According to the application, MAWC proposes to purchase all of the water and sewer utility assets of the Monsees Lake Estates Subdivision.
On November 16, 2020, MAWC entered into a purchase agreement with the Monsees Lake Estates Homeowners Association. MAWC proposes to provide water service using a flat monthly rate of $35.30. MAWC proposes to provide sewer service using a flat monthly rate of $58.00. There are approximately 60 water and sewer customers at this time.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than March 25, 2022, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov .

MAWC provides water service to approximately 470,000 customers and sewer service to approximately 15,000 customers in the state.
