The Saline County Commission recently advertised for bids to replace the circle drive at the courthouse in Marshall and received one bid.

At the meeting of the commission on Thursday, March 3, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner announced the bid is from Lyon Concrete LLC of Marshall and gave some of the particulars.

Fenner said others parts of the bid raises the total cost to $87,000.

Fenner explained the work needs to be finished before many of the activities are scheduled to take place on the Marshall Square.

Commissioners voted to take the bid under advisement and will make a decision at a later date.
