Herbert C. “Benny” Klussman, 86, of Concordia, died Thursday, March 3,  at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9,  at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial with military rites will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Born May 30, 1935, in Corder, MO, he was the son of the late Herbert F. Klussman and Viola Pragman Klussman. Benny was a graduate of Higginsville High School class of 1953 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. On June 1, 1957, he married Barbadine Wienberg and they lived in Emma, MO until July 2021 when he joined Barbadine at the Good Shepherd Care Community. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma and American Legion Post 279 in Sweet Springs. He was a retired carpenter with Local Union 777.

Survivors include his wife Barbadine; two sons, Dennis (Susan) Klussman of Manchester, MO and Dale (Denise) Klussman of Concordia; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Venora) Klussman of Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Soendker; and a brother-in-law, Carl Soendker.
