Facing multiple felony charges in connection with a reported shooting incident on February 27, 2021, a 19-year-old Sedalia resident has a court proceeding scheduled.
According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the report of shots fired at Centennial Park and found several shell casings. They were told Eabey Carlos-Gonzalez was at Bothwell Regional Health Center being treated for a gunshot wound. An investigation revealed gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles- one of them being occupied by Carlos-Gonzalez.
Court documents say Carlos-Gonzalez is charged with assault in the first degree or attempt, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond originally was set at $75,000 cash or surety. However, the court amended bond to $25,000 cash or surety on December 6, and Carlos-Gonzalez posted surety bond on December 9.
Carlos-Gonzalez’s case has been bound over to the trial division, and he pleaded not guilty and waived formal arraignment on December 6. His next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, March 7, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
