Three representatives from the Missouri Public Utilities Alliance (MPUA) were on hand during the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, March 7, and gave their Peer Review Presentation of Marshall Municipal Utilities.

Chuck Bryant, Ewell Lawson and Randy Norden addressed the council with their findings. Wright said the foundation is on good footing having a Board of Public Works. He said having board members serve for lengthy periods of time is a good thing.

Bryant said it’s very important to have continuity with council and board members.

Bryant explained some of the recommendations.

Bryant said it is very important to be transparent to the utility’s customers.

Council members and Mayor Julie Schwetz asked numerous questions such as Inflow & Infiltration, ARPA funding, on what can the utility company spend money, and more. The Peer Review representatives answered all of them.
