Parkview Elementary School Principal Stephanie Jackson is the 2022 Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) National Distinguished Principal.

According to a release from Sedalia School District 200, Jackson was recognized at the conclusion of the MAESP annual Leadership Conference at Lake of the Ozarks on Monday, March 7.

Jackson is the 2022 MAESP Central Region Distinguished Principal; each of the 11 MAESP Regional Networks nominates a MAESP member principal as its Regional Distinguished Principal honoree. From these honorees, one is selected as the Missouri National Distinguished Principal and represents Missouri at the National Association of Elementary School Principals NDP Celebration held each October in Washington, D.C.

Jackson was nominated by Ashley Klein, assistant principal at Maple Grove Elementary School in Warrensburg, who previously worked at Parkview as an instructional coach.

“Throughout the eight years as principal, Stephanie has overcome adversity and continues to make a lasting impression on her students, teachers, and community,” Klein said.

To be eligible for consideration, principals must be leading schools where programs are designed to meet academic and social needs of all students and ties with parents, local business organizations and the community are strong.
