A Glasgow man facing felony charges for allegedly shooting at a moving vehicle on February 27 has posted surety bond.

A probable-cause statement says a woman reported she was driving northwest on State Route AA, traveled around a corner and saw a black GMC sitting in the field to the left. The woman said as she was driving, she saw Trenton Strodtman with a handgun in his right hand. The woman said the gun was pointing toward her car, and as she drove by, she heard a shot.

Authorities arrested Strodtman, and during a search of his truck, they say they located a revolver with six live rounds in the cylinder. No spent shells were found. Authorities also say they found some methamphetamine on Strodtman.

Strodtman told authorities he didn’t shoot at anyone, but he shot to try to scare the person. Strodtman stated he shot straight down into the bank.

Court documents say Strodtman is charged with felonies for unlawful use of a weapon – shooting at a moving vehicle or person and possession of a controlled substance. Strodtman posted $15,000 surety bond on March 1.

Strodtman’s initial arraignment is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Howard County Circuit court.
