Mary Elizabeth Stahl, age 94, of Marshall, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia, with Rev. Keith Vessell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Marshall or the Sedalia Animal Shelter.

Born October 17, 1927 in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Lula Neal Crecelius. On May 14, 1944 in Sedalia, she married Norman Stahl, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2006.

She is survived by a son, Dennis Stahl of Marshall; two daughters, Judy Gillette of Grain Valley and Lori Stahl of Lee’s Summit; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Percy Crecelius Jr. of Burley, WA and John Crecelius of Carson City, NV; and a sister, Jean Margaret Spath of Long Tree, CO. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Tartenaar; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Stahl; a grandson, Jeff Moad; a great-grandson, Logan Dettaan; and a step-great-granddaughter, Anna Wilson.

Mrs. Stahl was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marshall. She had worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone, Fitzgibbon Hospital, and was in the foster grandparent program. For many years she and her husband owned and operated Reid Jewelry in Marshall until their retirement.
