Bond has been revoked for a Sedalia teen facing multiple felony charges in connection with a reported shooting incident on February 27, 2021.

According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the report of shots fired at Centennial Park and found several shell casings. They were told 18-year-old Eabey Carlos-Gonzalez was at Bothwell Regional Health Center being treated for a gunshot wound. An investigation revealed gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles- one of them being occupied by Carlos-Gonzalez.

Court documents say Carlos-Gonzalez, who is now 19, is charged with assault in the first degree or attempt, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond originally was set at $75,000 cash or surety. However, the court amended bond to $25,000 cash or surety on December 6, and Carlos-Gonzalez posted surety bond on December 9.

Carlos-Gonzalez’s case has been bound over to the trial division, and he pleaded not guilty and waived formal arraignment on December 6.

However, Carlos-Gonzalez failed to appear for a hearing on Monday, March 7, and the judge revoked his bond and issued a no-bond warrant. His next hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
