
Two additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Lafayette County, raising the county’s total to 109 since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to officials at the Lafayette County Health Department, as of Monday, March 14, there were 27 active cases and 19 persons hospitalized due to the virus.
The county’s positivity rate is 3.03 percent, per the CDC COVID Data Tracker.
Odessa leads the county with the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases with nine; followed by Higginsville and Lexington with four cases each; three in Concordia and Mayview; other cities within the county reported less than two cases each.
As of Monday, the county’s fully vaccinated rate is 45.4 percent; and 52 percent of county residents have received at least one dose.
