The Missouri Valley College Shooting Sports team is scheduled to send 10 out of 13 qualified student-athletes to the ACUI Nationals in San Antonio, Texas, with competitions taking place between March 20-27.
According to John McEachern, assistant coach, the team opened its fall competition season at the Drury (MO) Invitational at the Bass Pro Shooting Academy in Branson in September.
McEachern explained how the week of nationals week is expected to go:
The team left for San Antonio on Thursday, March 17. Individuals competing next week include:
- Freshman – Kilee Bradley-Robinson
- Sophomore – Kimmie Browne
- Senior – Richard Evaristo
- Senior – Reece Fernholz
- Freshman – Blayne Kolb
- Freshman – Charlie Maddox
- Junior – Ryan Niemeier
- Senior – Austin Rechtermann
- Junior – Emma Spear
- Junior – Heather Windes
McEachern says although shooting sports is a year-round sport, nationals will mark the conclusion of the team’s 2021-22 season.
