Two persons have been taken into custody after a disturbance was reported overnight in Marshall.

According to a Marshall Police Department spokesperson, officers were called out to a report of shots fired. They arrived at a residence and heard yelling. They looked through some windows and saw a man with a rifle. They tried talking to him into dropping the rifle, but he resisted. Officers tazed him and took him and a female into custody.

Nobody was hurt, and the two subjects are being held at the Saline County Justice Facility pending formal charges from the prosecuting attorney.
