The Glasgow School Board approved the district’s health insurance provider’s (Missouri Education Health Group Insurance Consortium) annual proposal and increasing the board-paid cap to $553. It is a 3.5-percent premium increase this year, which is the lowest the district has had in several years.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board gave the green light to the 2022-23 salary schedule for certified employees, with the base increasing to $34,750- which is a $1,000 increase from the 2021-22 school year. Also approved was a $.40 raise for all non-certified staff, which represents the same three percent awarded to certified staff.

The board discussed summer maintenance projects. The district is seeking bids for replacing air-conditioning units in the high school. These bids will be reviewed at the April meeting. The Board approved proposed upgrades to the lower playground areas, which will include a new basketball court; a large outdoor seating area with tables; a new set of swings; tetherball; and a permanent corn hole area.
