
A 18-year-old Slater woman was flown from the scene of a traffic crash in Lafayette County on Sunday, March 20.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by Sierra Slate-Jenkins, traveled off the left side of the roadway. Slate-Jenkins overcorrected, causing the vehicle to then travel off the right side of the road and striking an embankment.
Slate-Jenkins was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash happened at 7:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 20 at Sunny Bank Road.
