Betty Jean Hinton Betz, 81, of Marshall, died Friday, March 18, 2022 at The Living Center in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Malta Bend Cemetery, with Rev. Paul List officiating.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.  Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.

Born January 2, 1941 in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ermal Shull Colvert.  She was married to Sterling P. Hinton, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1991.  On November 16, 2011 in Marshall, she married Willard Leon Betz, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2021.

She is survived by a son, Robert Reynolds of Malta Bend; two daughters, Donna Reynolds Breshears Reed of Jonesburg, Missouri, and Deborah Hammer Oltmer of Slater; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Bobby Dean Colvert of Independence, Missouri.

Mrs. Betz had worked at Wilson Foods, and as DA-1 at the Marshall Habilitation Center until her retirement.  She later worked at WalMart.
