The jury trial is scheduled to begin for a 33-year-old Sedalia man charged with a felony for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident that caused physical injury to another person almost a year and a half ago.

A probable-cause statement alleges Jesus Fierro-Gutierrez was the driver of a vehicle that caused a vehicle accident on October 10, 2020, that resulted in one man getting one of his fingers amputated.

Fierro-Gutierrez is charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an accident, causing physical injury. Fierro-Gutierrez posted $7,500 surety bond on January 5, 2021.

Fierro-Gutierrez’s jury trial is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
