Rhoda Irene Fiene, 92, of Blackburn, MO, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church in Blackburn with Pastor Timothy Miille officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or the West Central Fire Protection District in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born December 22, 1929, in Hodge, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Evert Shockley and Effie Franklin Shockley Page.  Irene lived in the Blackburn and  Alma communities most of her life, was a 1949 graduate of Concordia High School, and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Blackburn.  On July 31, 1949, she married Theodore Fiene Jr. who preceded her in death on August 1, 1994.  In her younger years, she worked at Topsy’s in Concordia and then after her marriage she served as the office manager for the family business, Fiene Plumbing and Heating.  Irene was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing, playing cards and board games, still winning at Scrabble at the age of 92.

Survivors include three children: David Fiene of Blackburn, Connie Dierking of Malta Bend, and Kenneth Fiene (Marcy) of Blackburn; five grandchildren: Tim Dierking (Misty), Nathan Fiene (Fran), Johnathan Dierking (Lauren), Tara Smith (Buddy), and Jeffrey Dierking (Maci); four great-grandchildren: Brilee, Korben, Adalynn, and Collin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by her stepfather, Levert Page; and four siblings: Sherman Shockley, Austin Shockley, Noma Shivers, and Dale Page.
