A 27-year-old woman has been charged with several felonies after allegedly assaulting two employees at Pilot Gas Station Truck Stop in Higginsville.
According to a probable-cause statement, at approximately 10:30 p.m. February 26, 2022, authorities gave Allysa Nicole Boswell a warning for trespassing onto the gas station’s property. About six hours later, Boswell returned to the gas station, entering through the rear entrance to allegedly avoid surveillance cameras. Boswell then entered the building, burglarized the store, physically assaulted two workers, then fled the scene – heading northbound on Missouri Highway 13.
Authorities say at approximately 4:33 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the scene, however while en route, the officer located Boswell traveling at 90 mph – 30 mph over the posted limit – and a pursuit ensued. After successfully stopping the suspects vehicle, Boswell continued to not cooperate with the officer.
Court documents say Boswell is charged with burglary, resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony, escape or attempted escape from custody while under arrest and two counts of assault.
Boswell was arraigned on March 15 and posted $15,000 surety bond on March 16. Her next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 6 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
