Some Boonville R-1 students have advanced to the National DECA event.

According to school district officials, BTEC DECA students marketed themselves well at the State DECA conference.

Three students will move on to the national event:
– Myah Vincent was elected State VP of Advocacy;
– Tanner White earned fifth place in Principles of Finance event; and
– Keira Saulter earned a top-10 medal in Innovation Plan.

BTEC DECA also was recognized for Chapter Campaigns and School-Based Enterprises in recognition for work on the Snack Shack and Pirate Team Store.

The National DECA competition is scheduled for April 23-26 in Atlanta.
