Charlene Hinck, age 84, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Pastor Alan Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs.

Born April 13, 1937, in Blackburn, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles Carroll and Hildegard Bargfrede Carroll. On June 11, 1955, she married John Henry Hinck who preceded her in death on October 15, 2013. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, The Amigo Club, Priscilla Guild, and The Garden Club of Sweet Springs. She was a big Micro Midgets race car fan and loved watching her son, Terry, and grandsons. She was a big shopper, loved playing cards and working in her garden. She retired from the Sweet Springs School District as high school secretary and also worked at the International Shoe Company and Sweet Springs Flower Shop.

 

Survivors include three children, Terry Hinck (Pam) of Boonville, MO, Charlotte Schelp  (Tim) of Sweet Springs and Kelly Hinck (Lora) of Sweet Springs; four granddaughters, Tara Brewer (Jared), Robin Meyer (Jon), Brooke Smith (Sam), and Breanna Bongard (Shawn); one grandson, Levi Hinck; two step-grandsons, Jamie Robertson and Scotty Robertson; and 10 great-grandchildren, Keegan and Kendall Brewer, Kayson, Layne and Adley Meyer, Dax Bongard, Henleigh and Harper Smith and Maddy and Easton Robertson.
