Some issues about dumping of trash inappropriately were talked about during the meeting of the Slater City Council this week.

City Administrator Gene Griffith explains Rural Trash Service (RTS) is concerned about some bigger quantities of items being dropped off for its crews to pick up.

Griffith explained more.

In other news, Griffith also said the annual Steve McQueen Car Show is slated for Saturday, June 18. The sign-in period will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Judging will be at about 2 p.m., with trophies handed out at about 3 p.m.
