Two Warrensburg residents are facing multiple felony charges after authorities were dispatched to the report of small children allegedly running around naked outside an apartment complex on April 5.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say the children were inside the apartment upon arrival, and the apartment was unsanitary, with dirty carpet with a mattress on the floor for the children. Officers also say the children were dirty, as if they hadn’t been bathed in a while. Officers also noted there was no furniture in the front part of the apartment and trash was strewn about. Officers also noted one of the children had red marks on his/her buttocks and had dried feces on their buttocks.

Children’s Division responded and determined that due to the unsanitary living conditions and lack of supervision, the children would be placed with a relative. Authorities also noted police officers and the Children’s Division had been at the same address for the children running around outside naked on January 7 and February 14, 2022.

Court documents say Donald Marvin Robinson and Marissa Noelle Jones are charged with felonies. Jones is facing two counts of endangering the welfare of a child- second offense; two counts of endangering the welfare of a child- first offense; and two counts of abuse or neglect of a child- no sexual contact. Robinson is charged with abuse or neglect of a child- first offense and endangering the welfare of a child- first offense- no sexual contact. Robinson’s bond is set at $25,000 cash only, while Jones’ bond is fixed at $5,000 cash only.

Robinson was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on Friday, April 8. His case was bound over to the trial division, and his next hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, April 18. Jones is due for her initial hearing at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
