A 72-year-old Slater man was flown from the scene of a traffic crash in Saline County on Friday, April 15.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as Lester Bryant tried to pass several vehicles that were behind a piece of farm equipment, and the driver of the farm machine turned left in front of Bryant’s northbound vehicle.

Bryant was flown by Life Flight helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash happened at 4:35 p.m. on Highway 240 at 270th Road.
