Aileen K. Heins, age 94, of Concordia, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt and Pastor Andrew Lehenbauer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to Saint Paul Lutheran High School or The Lutheran Hour in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 6, 1927, in Mt. Leonard, MO, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Kessler and Frieda Hill Kessler.  Aileen lived in the Higginsville and Concordia areas most of her life, was a 1945 graduate of Higginsville High School, and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia.  On September 19, 1948, she married Vernon H. Heins who preceded her in death on October 17, 2013.  Aileen’s calling in life was being a homemaker for her family and a help mate to her husband in the operation of the family farm.  She enjoyed her flowers, always had a huge garden, and was an excellent baker.

Survivors include three sons: Ron Heins (Karen) of Concordia, Jim Heins (Charlene) of Longmont, CO, and Paul Heins (Cindy) of Higginsville; nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aileen was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Julie Marie Heins; and one brother, Norman Kessler.
