The jury trial for a 32-year-old Boonville man charged with multiple sex-related felonies for allegedly inappropriately touching a female juvenile and other deviant abusive acts in 2021 is scheduled to begin.

According to a Boonville Police report, an 8-year-old girl alleged that Jeremy Robert Sutton inappropriately touched her and choked her; as well as several other deviant actions.

Sutton is charged with four counts of a sex-related Felony; a felony for abuse or neglect of a child- no sexual contact; a felony for domestic assault in the second degree; and two counts of another sex-related felony. His bond originally was set at $250,000 cash or surety. However Sutton’s second request for bond reduction was approved by the court, and he posted $75,000 surety bond on July 16.

Sutton pleaded not guilty on June 22. His case was bound over to the trial division. His jury trial is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 20.
