The Missouri FFA Association recognized several students in area chapters during the second awards session of the 94th Missouri FFA Convention in Columbia.

A press release says this session recognized Proficiency Award winners, Teach Ag scholarships and Distinguished Service Citations.

Jack Peterson, of the Carrollton Area Career Center Chapter, won the top spot in Proficiency in Beef Production.

Michael Robert Dierking, of the Santa Fe Chapter, was first in Proficiency in Grain Production.

Nash Wayland McKenzie, of the Boonville Chapter, was first in Proficiency in Turf Grass Management.

Paiton Lynn Williams, of Boonville, was first in Proficiency in Goat Production.

Also finishing first in Proficiency in Diversified Agriculture was Trenton Jones, of the Higginsville Chapter.

Reid Alexander Monsees, of Santa Fe, was second in Proficiency in Vegetable Production; Katelynn Schreiman, of Santa Fe, was second in Proficiency in Dairy Production; Keegan Brewer, of Santa Fe, was second in Proficiency in Swine Production; and Dakota Henry Kuester, of Boonville, was second in Proficiency in Poultry Production.
