The 94th Annual Missouri State FFA Convention finished up in Columbia on Friday, April 22, and several area chapters and students were recognized as being some of the best.

According to news releases, Brunswick Chapter’s Hannah Rice won the Extemporaneous Speaking category.

Slater placed second in Farm Management.

In Public Speaking, Division 2, Kennedy Heil, of Norborne, placed second. In the same division, Lynn Dyer, of Higginsville, was fifth, and Serena Sartin, of Knob Noster, was sixth.

In Agronomy, Brunswick was third. Also from Brunswick, Harleigh Lewis was third in Employment Skills.

Savannah Reinke, of the Carrollton Area Career Center, was fourth in Employment Skills.

Boonville was fourth in the Agriculture Issues Forum.

Sweet Springs finished fifth in Parliamentary Procedure; and Alyssa Bargfrede, of Sweet Springs, was sixth in Public Speaking, Division 1.
