
Area residents are urged to take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold as the National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for all of the KMMO listening area Tuesday morning.
According to NWS, temperatures are expected to dip into the low to mid-30s, which will result in frost formation.
The advisory is in effect from 1 to 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Frost could damage or kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if it is left uncovered.
The counties affected include Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette and Pettis in the KMMO listening area.
