Larry Richard Thomas, age 70, of Marshall Junction, MO, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Hazel Grove Cemetery.

Born June 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Raymond Lester “Brownie” Thomas and Lura Margaret Patterson Thomas. Larry lived in Saline County most of his life and was a 1970 graduate of Marshall High School. He served in the Missouri Army National Guard, being activated into the U.S. Army, and retired after 21 years of service. Larry retired from K-Mart, where he worked as an auto mechanic manager, and from Cargill in Marshall. Although he had other jobs through the years, his main occupation in life was being a “Professional Papa.”

Larry is survived by his two daughters, Missy Thomas-Rowles of Marshall Junction and Mindy Arnold and husband, Chris, of Shawnee, KS; six grandchildren: Tristan and Saydee Rowles, Laken, Jacobe, Copelan and Millie Arnold; his twin brother, Garry Raymond Thomas of Marshall; two nieces, three nephews, and their families.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one grandson, Tyler Richard Thomas.
