A no-bond warrant has been issued for a 31-year-old Grandview resident facing felony charges after a reported disturbance on October 13, 2021, in Pettis County.
According to a Sedalia Police report, a woman told officers she was assaulted by Randee Powell. Officers say the woman was bleeding from the left side of her head around her ear, which was split open on the back side. The woman showed the officer a wound on the right side of her head behind her right ear, where she said Powell had jabbed her head with a handgun. Officers say the wound almost appeared to be a half-circle, and would be consistent with her skin being cut open by a circular object such as a gun barrel. A pistol was found in a truck Powell was trying to get in to leave the scene. Powell was arrested.
According to court documents, Powell is charged with domestic assault in the second degree; armed criminal action; and unlawful use of a weapon- exhibiting.
Powell was indicted by a grand jury on November 11, and she failed to appear for a hearing on April 18. The judge issued the no-bond warrant that day.
