Nearly 100 pounds of unwanted or expired prescription medications were turned in at an area Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) take-back event over this past weekend.

According to the Boonville Police Department, the April 30 drug take-back event held at the Boonville Fire Department yielded a total of 99 pounds of prescription drugs. These prescription drugs will be properly disposed of by the DEA.
