
Representatives from SWT Design were at the meeting of the Marshall Park Board this week and gave an update from the information submitted via the surveys that are available for area residents to fill out regarding the park department’s master plan.
Parks Director Chad Unterreiner gave an overview of the findings thus far.
Unterreiner says he is pleased with the response from residents.
Unterreiner pointed out some of the things residents would like to see, according to the surveys.
In other news, Unterreiner says the Marshall Aquatic Center is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 28. The pool will be painted and then filled during the next week.
Unterreiner also noted T-ball and coaches’ pitching baseball games are scheduled to start the week of May 23.
In addition, Unterreiner says the Lions Club will be placing U.S. flags in the park as part of “Partnership in Patriotism” on Memorial Day- Monday, May 30. Unterreiner says approximately 500 flags will be placed in the park starting at about 7 a.m. and staying up until about 5:30 p.m.
