Born September 25, 1920, in Saline County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Frank Oliver Crain and Lucy Rothrock Crain Boatright.  Norene lived in Saline County most of her life and was a 1938 graduate of Marshall High School.  On November 27, 1938 she married George Rogers Clark who preceded her in death on November 13, 1998.  Norene worked off and on through the years as a cook at restaurants at Marshall Junction, which she loved to do because it allowed her to visit with people.  At family dinners, church dinners, or just about any get together, her hot rolls and deviled eggs were always requested.  She also made sure that anyone visiting or working on the farm always had a good meal while they were there.  Norene was a member of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church until it closed and then became a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann Yokeley of rural Marshall; two grandchildren, Terry Yokeley (Monica) of rural Marshall, and Lori Zinn (Tommy) of Marshall; five great-grandchildren: Matthew Yokeley, Autumn Robinson, Kevin Zinn, Christopher Zinn, and Jeremy Phillips; 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Harry Boatright; one son, Gregory Rogers Clark; her son-in-law, Jimmie Dean Yokeley; and a half-brother, Robert Boatright.
