A 55-year-old Corpus Christi, Texas man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in Saline County on Friday, May 20.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as Thomas Smith’s northbound vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossing over U.S.-65, striking a bridge post.

Smith suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Medical Center by Saline County EMS.

The crash happened at 8:50 a.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 65 at the eastbound I-70 ramp.
