The jury trial is scheduled for a Boonville resident charged with a felony for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident that caused injuries to another person on May 12, 2021, in Cooper County. But first, a court proceeding is scheduled to be held this week.

A Boonville Police report says Treyvon Korte allegedly was the driver of a vehicle that struck a juvenile male and threw him to the ground. Police say Korte then accelerated and fled the scene without stopping to check on the boy.

Court documents say Korte is charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an accident causing physical injury.

On February 14, the judge scheduled Korte’s jury trial to begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1. His pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
