
The Slater school board approved a motion to seek bids to replace a classroom floor at the school during its meeting on Tuesday, May 24.
Superintendent Debbie Gonzalez says the floor needs to be completely redone.
The board approved the motion with a unanimous vote.
Gonzalez also announced that consultants from the districts insurance company were in the process of seeking bids for a new high school roof.
In other news, the board received reports on enrollment and attendance. The Slater elementary school finished the year with an enrollment of 225 students and a 93 percent attendance rate. The high school finished with 131 students enrolled and a 92 percent attendance rate.
