
The Lexington Planning and Zoning Commission approved the purchase of a lot on Riverfront Street that the Animal Pound partially sits on. The details of the purchase were discussed in the most recent Lexington City Council meeting.
City Administrator Mark O’Dell says the owner wanted to sell the property for $1,000.
O’Dell said the purchase is beneficial to Lexington.
The council also discussed the purchase of an incinerator. O’Dell says several departments in Lafayette County will be a part of the purchase.
The purchase was approved.
