During the Saline County Commission meeting on Thursday, May 26, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner said some construction work just south of Marshall Junction should begin soon.

Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave a little more information.

The construction of the turn lane is part of the economic development project at the junction. The county’s portion of the cost is being funded by proceeds from the half-cent sales tax for countywide economic development purposes approved by voters in April 2018.
