Kathryn Sue “Kitty Sue” Castle, age 85, of rural Marshall, MO, died Monday, May 30, 2022, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Big Bend Retreat.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born January 17, 1937, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late James Elgin Buie and Kathryn Bray Hogge Buie.  Kitty Sue lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1953 graduate of Marshall High School.  On August 9, 1958, she married Joseph G. “Joe” Castle, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2009.  In addition to being a homemaker and being active in the girls’ activities, she worked alongside Joe on the family farm.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Sue Castle of rural Marshall, and Vicki Jo Bledsoe (Ron) of rural Miami; two grandchildren, Linzi Rhea Stockman (Reginald) and Matthew Grant Bledsoe; two great-grandchildren, Finnegan Lee Stockman and Prescott Robert Stockman; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jim” Buie.
