
Frances “Franny” Adams, age 88, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ridge Park Cemetery Road Campaign in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Franny was born June 5, 1933, in Overton, MO, the 11th of 12 children, born to the late Gilbert Korte and Lena Sieckman Korte. Franny grew up in the Armstrong area and later moved with her family to the Arrow Rock area. On March 19, 1953, she married Lee Adams who preceded her in death on June 10, 1984. In addition to being a homemaker for her family, she worked at Horman Meat Company for some time, owned and operated the restaurant at the Four Square Horse Barn, and a café in Blackwater. In 1983 she opened Pioneer Café in Marshall where she remained until she retired.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Adams (Carol) and Greg Adams (Kelly), all of Marshall; three granddaughters, Amanda Larsen (Aaron) of Madrid, IA, Leigh Doty (Michael) of Republic, and Krystal Adams (Gentry) of Winona; three great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Parker, and Mikayla; one brother, Roger Korte of Pilot Grove; two sisters-in-law, Mona Vogl of Marshall and Lorene Korte of California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Franny was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-grandson, Derek Doty; five brothers: Buss (Virginia), Boss (Leona), Ben (Betty), June (Ida), and Walt Korte; five sisters: Hilda McClellan (Gene), Sis Self (Delbert), Helen Cramer (Roy), Nadine Green (Freddy), and Vi Heislen (Ed).
