
An area public swimming pool has been closed until further notice less than a week after it opened for the summer.
According to a release from Marshall Parks and Recreation, the Marshall Park Board has made the decision to close the Marshall Aquatic Center until increased safety measures for its employees and patrons can be obtained. The decision was made following an incident on Sunday, May 29.
Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner says different security measures will be taken at the Marshall Aquatic Center.
The MAC opened on Saturday, May 28.
