Born September 16, 1970, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Eddie Lee Scott and Anna Ruth Langley Scott.  Randy lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1988 graduate of Marshall High School and had attended Southside Assembly of God.  He had worked at Saline Vault Company, Concordia Foods, and also helped Paul Thompson with construction jobs.  He earned several nicknames through the years as an avid softball player.  “Lefty Power”, “Legend”, and “Pounder” were just a few of the names people knew him by because of his incredible talent playing ball. When it came to playing ball, he and his dad could always be found together on the field and enjoyed many ball tournaments together.  Randy enjoyed cruising “the strip” and you could be sure that an AC/DC song would be playing at top volume.  Some of Randy’s childhood friends have said that he was “the last of the North Street kids.”

Survivors include one sister, Tina Marie Scott, of Marshall; his favorite niece, Racheal Wharton and her family; a nephew, Tristan Crawford; as well as extended family and lots of friends.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Ann Scott Crawford.
